Zabriskie is a bit of a time trial specialist... he's won the U.S. national time-trial championship 6 times and he's going for another one next week in SC.

Zabriskie is one of the rare riders to have won stages in all three of cycling’s Grand Tours—the Giro d’Italia, the Tour de France, and the Vuelta España. All but one of those stage victories came in time trial events. Even his sole Grand Tour road-stage victory came from a long day riding alone off the front of the field at the 2004 Vuelta. In essence, it was a time-trial win.

He's just fucking impressive to watch.

Oh, and even more fun to watch than TT stages... team TT stages.

There's no team time trial stage coming up at the TdF this year but that shit is so awesome to watch. Individual stages are really fun too, but not like the team, IMO.


I know you're probably not a cycling fan (not enough to watch on tv) though, so I'll just leave these here. Know that they can average close to 35mph for these courses.
