            Very interesting tidbit of Texas History that not many people know about.

            Basically, a railroad company staged a badass publicity stunt in which 2 locomotives would collide at high speed in Crush, Texas. They had everything figured out until the collision caused the boiler in one of the trains to blow, sending metal all over the place and killing two people (wounding others).





            That's funny. At lunch today (about the same time you posted this) we were discussing this. There is a historical marker on the sidewalk at the corner of Harwood and San Jacinto in downtown Dallas that tells about it.

                              I recall a time as a child maybe four years after the age of 3, my grandfather would put on all these amazing old videos of trains like this for me to watch. Spectacular machines.
