Frederick Highway Patrol Trooper Gary Sanders was involved in a serious accident North of Davidson on 183 this afternoon. According to witnesses, Sanders had pulled over a red pickup which was southbound headed into Davidson. After collecting the driver's license, Trooper Sanders returned to his patrol car and was sitting in his patrol car when a tan pick up, also southbound, rammed into Trooper Sanders' patrol car, shoving the patrol car into the back end of the red pickup which had been pulled over for a traffic violation.

The driver of the tan pick up was transported via ambulance to the Frederick Hospital, there is no word on his condition. Trooper Sanders was transported to the Frederick Hospital via ambulance then medi-flighted to a hospital in Wichita Falls, TX.
