"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

AC/DC drives. Motor control was just pressing a start button. Drives is basically wiring in a different drives and adjusting all the settings. I really liked motor control, really love drives. Neat little devices.

400 Hz? A real man would have tried that with a 2 pole motor....
Good money in drives. Study hard and enjoy the oil field
X2. If you can learn PLC, also, you can make a TON of money. The cheese factory couldn't add another programmer to the staff, but home office let them hire one as an independent contractor. Instead of $22/hr he would've made on staff, as a contractor he made $50+. Oh well!

Its not that hard....but having the right equipment, software, and know-how to communicate is priceless. I have paid Rockwell and Siemens reps $220/hr + travel + 4 hr minimum to look at issues. If you have the technical ability it can be a very lucrative field.
