  • Any CRF/XR50 owners on here still?

I used to love these things 10+ years ago, always kept this one around for riding in the pits or chasing after one of our dogs who sometimes gets out. I know there were some others on here who had them, I just put a new Mikuni carb and new wheels/tires on it and surprisingly I can still do most of the same tricks on it (although a little more careful not to hurt myself).

    Anyone else still have one?

Got the kid a cherry looks like "it was never ridden" 08 CRF50 for x-mas.

Now i'm shopping for me. I had the crazy modded one when it was cool but I don't want any part of it this time. Big bars, stiffer springs, and thats it.

We have a trx90 drunk wagon as well. I absolutely love that thing. It's so bent and beat to shit it doesn't even track straight anymore.

I've been thinking about getting a 50 for my son, not sure my wife is ready though.
The guy I'll probably buy from has a couple that are setup for "stunting".

Training wheels and adjustable throttle stop make them basically a gas power wheels. My son turns two in a couple of months and he rides with me on mine but I am about to get training wheels for him and let him rip.

My boy has training wheels on his. He's got good balance on his bicycle and good throttle control on the 50 so they are coming off fairly soon.

Training wheels are junk. Get rid of them as fast as possible.

I just got rid of a CRF 50 before Xmas, and had an XR 100 10-12 years ago. I miss them so I bought an XR 80 a month or so ago. I don't like the auto-clutch on the XR/CRF 50-70's, the 80's are the smallest bikes that have a true 5 speed manual/traditional clutch. The damned things are indestructible for the most part!
