Ah, understood. Maybe plant some shade trees this spring. Chinese Pistache is a great choice. It's done wonders for my summertime projects, shading the west side of my shop.

Either way it's a fantastic addition that you'll love. You'll find ways to fix those little issues.

        For me

It is kind of the perfect spot ( next guy who knows ) but ..

It is small town, most would never allow anyone to go this tall, pics fool you its really tall (haha)

Neighbor to the west , school bus barn ( no one to piss off)

Neighbor to south , quite renter , they are just two good kids ( husband and wife) Father of lady owns it and I called him before i bought my house told him what I was going to built , he was cool said , no problem ..do it

next door to north open lot, and always will be and the guy that has a house that adjoins that is about 75 and had a mild stroke ,kinda gets around old hot rodder ..still likes cars

so I can kinda do as I please, make noise with the cars and music within reason

That's the best case scenario: cool neighbors! It's a blessing for sure.

You'll always have hindsight, I know the feeling. I should've added a drain connected to sewage and covered it with a thin layer of concrete I could remove after inspection lol. I also should've built tall like you did, I can't add a lift.

I did insulate the shit out of my 30x30 and added Heat/AC that keeps my place nice and comfortable (25 degrees difference) even in the Texas summer.

Yeah, it really comes down to money , I had things I wanted but ..

I really wanted a restroom but, it was going to be $9400 to do it

My basement is about 40 steps away and I have a full bath there, with outside access ,so I didn't do it ..

it will be a nice space , I think I can get 4 on the floor one on the lift easy

and I have big single next to house , thats 6 things
