Picking up the LTD LX

I was having a hard time warming up to the idea of a more door car too, but when I see things like this -

well, it gives me a little hope for a cool outcome.

Pretty basic to start, ditch the CFI for a carb, get some decent rolling stock, which will necessitate a 5 lug swap. It would be nice to find an original center console and swap over to a floor shift, but those parts are pretty much impossible to find.

Long term, SEFI swap would be nice, so probably grab a crate motor to make some more power, then some sort of blower/turbo?

You could always do the Holley TBI. It can run SEFI later too if you want to convert.

Love the LTD LX's & SSP cars. They are not the same but very similar. There is a following for them on www.foureyedpride.com if you aren't already on there and an active facebook group.

I've been on FEP for years, love that site. Just wish there was more info about these. There is a really decent FB group though (1984/1985 Ford LTD LX).

I was added to that group about a year ago. I dont know why.
