  • New PB for TURBRO - Hellion Twin Turbo'd Aluminator A6 Car

Finally got back out to test the transbrake. I ran an event in October on the footbrake and ran a disappointing 10.06@145 with a lackluster 1.65 60' time. It was just dead coming out of the hole. I added the transbrake and had done some testing in the parking lot, but wanted to get some clean runs on a prepped track with a burnout, etc. Well, she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Timeslips, video and pics below.

I made (3) passes. The first was on 10psi and it went 6.24@113.8 with a 1.49 60'. Better....

Next pass I launched on the 10psi setting and tried to hit it with more boost mid track. It went 6.14@115.8 with a 1.38 60'. Now we're talking....

I only had time to make one more pass, so I figured I'd see what it'd do if I just put it on the 15psi boost setting and let her eat. I figured I'd have some clutch issues as I've seen a few signs that they're due for a change. It left hard, the rpms slid down on the 1-2 shift like the clutches were slipping, but I just stayed in it. A new personal best with a 5.84@119.4 with a 1.34 60'. Super happy! I'll rebuild the tranny this winter and be ready to run some even better times in the spring!

He'll yeah. Amazing it could hold so much off the line. It would be a spin fest at my local tracks

It should go even quicker once I R&R the clutches in the tranny. The 1-2 shift was really long...kinda like a manual with a slipping clutch....

Launching at 3400 and around 5psi of boost.....then goes to 15psi right out of the hole.

Not any more.... I think he's deep in the 8's now based on what I saw from Dragweek.

I was pretty happy with the 1.34 60'. I rolled in, set the tire pressure, set my rear shocks and made (3) passes. Didn't make any adjustments at the track.

that's awesome doug, your car is obviously a much more refined package then my shit box! i knew it was fast after seeing it's half mile speed.

best i've managed so far in the 1/8th is a 5.24@135, on DW it went a best of 5.48/8.43 (have to be slightly modest on a 1000+ mile trip).

The fun factor for my car jumped to 2X with the install of this transbrake! LOL!
