I got to test drive the V6 Camaro at Huffines in Lewisville yesterday. They didn't have any V8's in stock, just a base blue V6 and a white RS.
I hate to say it but that's a really nice car.
Interior materials are not quite as nice as the Mustangs but the overall layout is great. The seats are more comfortable (to me). It has Apple Car Play (big plus IMO). The display in the instrument pod is fantastic. The HVAC controls are flat out sweet. The steering wheel is a huge improvement over the old, fat one.
The biggest downside is the same as the outgoing Camaro. The exterior view is horrible. It may actually be worse than the old car. The trunk is a good size but opening for the trunk lid is tiny. You might actually have a problem getting the width of a large suitcase through the opening. You may have to pre-plan how you load your crap back there.
Overall its a damn good car. I didn't get to toss it around but the handling was pretty good and the ride was better than the Mustang I drove. I'm not in the market right now but if I were comparing this with the EB4 or V6 Mustang, I think I would buy the Camaro.

I talked with Jeff Lutz who was invited to race them before they got released and he managed a 12.2 totally stock. That car in the video must have been on a low octane timing map or something.

We took it back to the track yesterday. With a H/C/I setup we managed a 10.95 @ 127mph. With the 150 it went a 9.83 @ 138mph. Stock converter is killing us on motor especially with the cam. Car will go deep in the 10's on motor with the right converter.
This was a clip from the "first 9 second" gen 6 run.
