  • 2016 Camaro SS goes 11.77 @ 119 with tires/tune and 10.60 w/150shot

Guy had it delivered straight to the B&R Performance on Monday. They installed the nitrous kit and wheels/tires and after a little tuning it went 11.77 @ 119 tune only and 10.60 with a 150 shot. They also want to be first in the 9's so heads/cam package is on the way. Pretty awesome car, for the first time in a long time I kinda want a Camaro! The 8 speed auto is great in this car!

    It's so ugly though...

Did somebody walk by it at the track and just super glue that wing on it? Looks like a shit afterthought.

Ford guys always talking shit! That thing is bad ass and it's flying! Congrats, James.

Looks like the Mustang has a long way to go to catch up this time.

As much as I love the Mustang, Chevy did a really good job of one upping Ford. Lighter, more powerful, faster. The 'Stang exterior is still nicer but the interiors on both are great in different ways. The HVAC controls on the Camaro are pretty sweet but the view outside is still terrible compared to the Mustang.

That's impressive. The good thing is, everyone wins in horsepower wars.

About like the reverse lights on the pre-refresh ones.

Not impressed! Ecoboost Mustangs are going 10 seconds in the 1/4 mile now days!

On a serious note, the Camaro SS just made this look like the 90s all over again where Ford just couldn't keep up. Get it together Ford, you're getting left behind again.

This right here is what will have me choose the mustang 100 times out of 100.

The Mustang may be a tad slower, but it's still a great performance value, and you can slap on a blower to be faster for less money than the bowtie. Same song, second verse.

It's about a half second slower and down about 6mph.

There's about a 5k difference in base MSRP between the two cars and you can't supercharge a GT for that. And even with a blower I'm still not sure it would outrun the SS.

GM went for the throat this time. It's going to take a bigger coyote or some kind of lightweight LX variant to hang.

The Challenger/Cuda will be built on a smaller Alfa-based platform for 2018 and I wouldn't expect them to be bitches either.

                          Good times!

You don't think a blown GT would out run a stock SS?

Let me put it this way. I've seen a shitload of them run slower than a 12.3.
