  • Who remembers this old gem?

Was reading an article on the Kentucky Mammoth cave and it reminded me of it. Pretty sure I read it off of here.

I distinctly remember my coworkers in a huddle formation as I read this aloud back in canada. I'll give it another go some time soon.

Thanks for posting this Scott. Years ago, I tried searching for this a few times on google and in canada but came up with nothing.

So clifnotes- Guys go into cave. Drill out a small hole bigger, then one guy crawls threw it. Another day another guy crawls threw it. He wants to leave when he comes out. Next day the first guy that went through goes through again. Thinks he see's hieroglyphics, hits his head, smashes his light, has a panic attack and leaves the cave using nothing but glow sticks. Starts hearing/seeing flashes and has nightmares. He and the other guy that went through decided to go again and the last statement is that he'll update his blog again. Then never does.
Sounds like a well written story to freak people out.

I remembered it, but not enough of it to remember the let-down at the end, dammit.. Just wasted too much time.

I'm reading page 7 right now. I don't want to read any spoilers here. Gives me the heeby-jeebys. I didn't realize how claustrophobic I am until reading this.

It's a decent story, but well written. Interesting to see the origin.

I definitely skimmed through large portions of it. Very long winded at times, especially the parts where they're drilling out the hole. Get to the fucking point guy.
