Well, I got tired of having a car sitting on the driveway that was a never ending project and decided I wanted something fun to drive to work. I decided on another c4 because the other one I had (even though ragged out) was a perfect daily. After a lot of looking I came across this one - 93 6spd black on black car with 100k. Previous owner had about $5600 in receipts for new clutch kit, new tires, all new a/c, suspension parts, new battery etc etc. It isn't perfect - has some typical weatherstripping and other issues- but it has been a very solid car so far. No leaks or noises to speak of. It has no mods except a short throw shifter and even has the 1st to 4th shift still enabled. Bring on the c4 hate!

Thanks gents. I've put about 300mi on it so far and am loving it. It isn't fast, but it's quick and handles great.

I love the cars, HATE the drivetrain. Fuck the LT1 and that stupid dual mass flywheel. Worst mistake I ever made was selling my 98 Formula for my 92 C4. That one looks pretty clean though.

Haha yep. I'm hoping it's a pretty trouble free journey. I seem to only keep cars about a year anyways lol.

Always so much hate on the C4 cars but I for one love them. Remember growing up thinking how cool they looked. I have had 3 myself from a stripped out base 94 to a 96 GS. Only thing I didn't like is you never look dignified getting out of them and now that I am older and fatter its really no fun getting out unless the roof is off. LOL

Great looking car. Looks to be a base model as well. Amazing the deal you can get when they don't have power passenger seats or auto climate control.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

No shit on the getting out. It is like a damn jungle gym and getting in is like a controlled fall LOL. I really wanted one that was as basic as possible - the auto climate control, FX3 ride control, and power seats are always broken and a pain in the ass to fix. Plus the cubby where the passenger seat control would be is a perfect spot for my phone

Mine is pretty rare in the fact that it has dual manual seats, something I always liked about it. I have getting out of them down to an art. With your ass planted in the seat, swivel your left leg out and onto the ground, then place your right foot against the transmission tunnel and push.

True. My brother in law is 6'1"/230 and he can do the same. I can't imagine trying to drive a C4 if you're over 6'2"

Not this time, you will keep that until the junk-man hauls it away.
Which might be less than a year come to think of it

Are they LS swap friendly? I'm sure gauges would be a pain and I think I remember reading about major AC or alternator clearance issues.
