    I used to go watch these races with my father back in the late 70s early 80s. As a kid they didnt induce the pucker factor that they do now.

      Yup, it was before my time but I recall a lot of folks talking about this being really popular in the 70s.

          I seem to recall a guy named "Barefoot Larry" that did that sort of racing...you guessed it. HE DROVE BAREFOOT.

          well, maybe I was wrong...might have been this guy.... Billy "Barefoot" Ziemann out of CA.

            I used to watch this at one of the Kennedale dirt tracks when a kid. I do remember seeing a guy t-boned bad and ended up paralyzed. I "think" they only raced figure-8 maybe once a month or something. I loved watching it, but it induced the pucker factor even as a kid.
            Shooting for 1000 posts in 15, well make that 20 years.
