Not to go all SVO, but I've actually done this. Right before I left cleveland, I was taking a nice drive through the metro parks at night. 2 lane asphalt, nice windy roads w/ trees everywhere, when I see the outline of a charger grill flying up on me. He gets close, I hammer it, doing over 100 in a 30 when the lights came on. He was nice enough to knock it down to 59 so it wasnt double the speed limit. Oops.

I'm also going to go svo, mixed with some Craig, for a moment...

When I was 16, I was headed home at about 1am when I saw a pair of headlights absolutely FLY up on my ass. A friend of mine had just gotten a new Impala SS and I just knew it was him. So of course I nailed it, through my neighborhood, with the Impala losing ground the whole way. Finally I came to a T-intersection and slid my car through it and came to a stop so I could chat with my buddy about me just kicking his ass. I looked in the rearview and saw him come over the hill, but (as you have guessed by now) it was a Caprice with 'Desoto Police' in reflective tape down the side.

I shit my pants and rolled down the window. It was a young cop and he yelled at me from behind his open door to keep my hands where he could see them. I have no idea if he had his gun pulled but he might have. He came to the side of my car and asked for my license. He was so mad he was shaking. He saw from my license that I lived one street over. He told me to start my car and drive home - without breaking ANY laws.

He followed me home, and there he told me to wake up my parents. I went inside and whispered, "mom.. mom" hoping like hell my light sleeping stepdad wouldn't wake up. Miraculously, only my mom woke up, and the cop told her what had just happened, that he followed me through our neighborhood going over 70mph. I smiled inside because I had pegged the 85 speedo. The cop let me off with a warning because he said he could tell I was a good kid, and he had also done something very stupid when he was my age. I got grounded for two weeks for that. Small price to pay for doing something that dumb.
