I guess some will say "we told you so", but nothing wrong with tying to trust a stealership to fix the gas tank for free since it was a recall/warranty item, but fuck stealerships, they are in business to fuck people over. Hey thats why you have your own mechanic business to do things for people the right way instead of them getting fucked over by stealerships. You did the right thing but in the end they suck.

I just had some warranty work done on the Fusion, I bought it new and they took care of the transmission, but fucked up the dust boot on the driverside driveshaft, I drove it around and when I got it home there was axle grease all over the inside of the wheel and inner skirt. I took it back and they installed a new drive axle. I also told them to clean off the grease that had was all over the wheel, skirt and underside. They did not clean it, they only washed the exterior of the car!
Instead of bitching any further or wasting any more time, I took off the wheel, de-greased the wheel, skirt and tried to power wash off the grease on the underside of the car. Later I was getting some abnormal brake dust on the driver side wheel, the brakes were also covered in grease, I had to re-take off the wheel and do a brake job (brake pads covered in axle grease too) and use three cans of brake clean to clean the caliper and surrounding areas. I could have probably gone another 30k miles or more with the factory brake pads, but fuck it, I was in there already and the others were covered in axle grease. I bought some better pads and installed them.
I received several thousand dollars worth of free labor and parts and shouldn't have had to do the extra work, but fuck'em instead of wasting any more, time, effort and money, I just took care of it myself, i know it sucks but move on and take it as a learning experience.

Oh and BTW, continue to ignore Nay-Nay...

I have a friend that will hook me up with a custom tuned ECM and TCU so it should be all good.

Just got done doing some research on its stereo and it freakin has over 10K in components! So the car only cost me $6k.
he can ignore me all he wants. I dont have a dog in the fight, but I can show him how to ruffle some internet feathers all day. I just had the moderators approve me for rs6.com, but i decided to keep it all in the family rather than trolling him over there.

My only "i told you so", was post #4 of this thread. That check engine light is synonymous with VAG cars. I simply told him he will be hating life before too long.

His real beef should be with JD motors. I would be pissed if i put down over $16,000 cash, and got to drive my car for 214 miles before it was inoperable. Another reason that cash may not always be king.

Having owned an audi that always had CV/drive shaft issues, i know all too well that you cant beat on them from a dig.

I really feel bad for the guy, and Henry, you of all people know that there are some people i just WONT go in on. I dont fuck with you, denny, danny, paul, billy, etc..hell, a whole lot of ya'll. But the first one that wants to talk shit and threaten to make me "swallow a watch" I will be sure to make sure their next few months on the internet suck. Luckily he is like me and uses the same screen name everywhere, and like i said I was an audi guy 12 years ago. I already have log ins for all those sites.

**Does make you wonder though, seeing as him and justin have both been gone for the last 3 days, and they both love coming up with these elaaaaborate stories, right?

Anyways, I only posted this here, because i knew if i didn't look at his other threads he would only be reporting half-truths here., and there still is only some half truths. those guys just like guys here told him NOT to go to BBB. but he's a hard head and wont listen. Thinks he knows it all.

My favorite post from the rs6 site was a reply to him that said "There is no way i am going to read through your plethora of posts." from the guy who's advice he finally decided to take.

      • Damn, knew I forgot to do something. Oh well, can add fucknutz to the list again.

Naynay you have to be the single dumbest motherfucker ever to exist. I will sweeten the pot. $100 and some fried chicken, come on by. I just wanna meet you. Shake your hand. Nothing nefarious. One or two quick punches to the face, I will even help you back up.

Lets look at all the ways naynay is a stupid fuck tard.
        1. His "I told you so"
Well yeah, any car can break but this particular one is the CEL, which is not on. So hes an idiot.
        2. Beef with JD Motors. I should be mad at them.
The reason why is....what? That makes no sense. They sold me a running driving car. The dealer got a running driving car. Audi North Austin did the damage, not the dealer I got it from.
        3. "Having owned an Audi."
Thats like saying "Sorry your 03 Cobra has issues. My 03 Focus had issues when I beat on it."
        4. "I dont fuck with blah blah blah because I am a bitch"
I was not threatening. I see you, it will happen.
        5. "Being I ate lots of paint chips I think hes Justin"
        Yeah, that requires no response.
        6. "Half truths"
        O'rly? List them.
        7. "Those guys said dont go to BBB"
Once again, O'rly? Here is a quote from Dave Hall. The one person there that EVERYONE listens to when it involves RS6 issues:
        "Screw them.
        Bbb complaint.
        Sue for damages
What is the name of the dealer?
        Social media
        Sue them
Document the used driveshaft install and repairs then sue them again.
        Social media
Get the members used unit in KS
        Did i say social media?"

Besides him I have several PMs from other members saying to try the BBB route. There is not a single person that said not to do it. One made a comment after the fact that BBB wont do anything.

        8. Last but not least..... you plain simpleton. "My favorite post from the rs6 site was a reply to him that said "There is no way i am going to read through your plethora of posts." from the guy who's advice he finally decided to take."
Really? So lets see what was really said:
"I didn't read through the plethora of posts to know what went south with your original shaft."
This was said in a different thread when i was trying to find out what shaft to go with. He continued on to say that I should replace the CVs and carrier bearing. So I took his advice? Is that why I have a complete shaft in route?

Do you listen to yourself? THIS! This is why not one person can stand you. This is why people constantly kick your ass. This is why you get banned everywhere. This is why you work in shit because you are shit.

Respond all you want, I have been reminded to turn the ignore back on.

Couldn't figure out what people were going on about earlier so I had to temp remove him. I forgot to put him back on the list. I see his posts where he wants to start crap and I just bite because there is not a single person online I have ever known that is a bigger POS. Or in person for that matter. LOL
Thats small of me. I shouldn't get mad at special needs people.

The short ownership history and the fact that you have worked on the car yourself is going to work against you big time. Even if you get AoA to give a partial judgment in your favor, they're going to be a real motherfucker to deal with since you burned their ass with the BBB.

Just finish the fixes yourself and try to enjoy the car as much as possible.

You have convinced me that I will never own an Audi under any circumstances.
I should point out once again, this was not AoA. This was Audi Of North Austin. AoA has bowed out of the situation and its is between me and that one particular dealer.

That being said the car will never see a dealer again and I am in the process of repairing it. Shaft arrives Friday and I will go in Saturday afternoon to install it, repair everything they did wrong and install the exhaust.
After that I should be able to enjoy the car for quite a while without issue unless I launch to hard too many times and blow the trans. LOL

you're getting trolled get used to it.. this will be a bumpy ride. Im following 5 different threads of yours now from car audio forums to, audi forums, to here.

Fried chicken? i only eat fish. If you were smart you'd know "I" could ruin you through Yelp/Google in about an afternoon or two, but you didnt want to take that advice and this is more fun.

                      TO THE MODS:

I wont shit on this guy all over the board, but i want this thread to make the hall of fame when we are reminding eachother to put our clocks forward next spring, and he is still trying to figure out if his driveshaft will fit in the hole.

Smooches Bill, glad to have brought you back. Dont be so shy, we are your brothers, those Audi guys dont know you like we know you! (gas station chicken sandwhiches, new chrome mirrors on 30 year old trucks, "ex dea agents" etc.

                            • New shaft just installed and she is smooth as silk again! Feels so good to drive her. Love this car.

We now have a better understanding of exactly what happened. I noticed as I was holding the shaft and my buddy was unbolting it from the trans that the oblonged part matched the shaft neck when it was in a downward position. Out of curiosity I started to let it down more and more until I saw that the ovaled part fit perfectly into the shaft. Knowing I had seen an impact mark on the forward CV before I looked closer and it appears more like a power tool slipped and just knicked it.
The actual damage (ovaling of CV) happened due to them unhooking the carrier but leaving the shaft connected to the car and rear and then using their lift they dropped the rear subframe down to near ground level and the shaft itself bent the CV. That or they just disconected it from the rear as well and let the shaft hang from the trans.

Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
