FWIW i like Bill, he's a good guy. we had a bit of miscommunication. when i was asking for a 9/16ths socket to drop the column, i wasnt asking for a $400 invoice. I apologize, and if you want i will paypal you the $75 diagnostic right now, or you can pay it forward and let me swing by the shop and shoot the shit with you next time i am in transit between here and centex. all the shit i give you on the audi is in fun, if you really wanted to know the nightmare that is secretly my 335i i we could talk for hours. lol. good luck with it though, it's a badass car. if it were the later avant i wouldnt be saying shit except can i go for a ride.

good luck with the audi! keep us updated. If you dont know we have a couple guys who used to be members here that have a shop in DENTON that would probably do that car way better than any of your other buddies. just sayin'. toodles kind sir, i'll check back in on the next check engine light.

I do believe I am just SOL. AoA did call me earlier and said this is a matter that would be settled, if they were so inclined, by the dealership in which the car was "repaired" at. They told me they would email the service manager all of the info and the questions such as why the gas tank wasn't bolted in all the way or why the brake lines were not anchored and why exactly could the tech not slide two pipes together seeing as how 3 other Audi dealers could and that its pretty much up to their service manager if anything will be done since it boils down to my word against theirs.
EDIT: As I typed that sentence AoA called me back and said "Its my word against theirs and the AoA will not be intervening."
So that's that. Car went in for a recall and left unusable. It will be sitting in the garage for a bit as I had a customer just bounce a $2300 check and just dropped another $1500 getting my grandmothers crap paid and water heater replaced and lost the $3000 I sent my cousin to move out here to take care of her. I sent him the cash and now hes MIA. I took a 5 digit hit this month so before I fix my toy I need to get the reserve back up.
