How much would 34.5 million go towards salt water desalination?

              Not too far.

There are quite a few desal projects going on in CA. I think the smallest is around $150 million and the largest, near San Diego, is $1 billion. Not to mention that droughts don't last forever and to get that $1 billion plant out of the conceptual stage and into real talk the city of San Diego had to commit to buying every drop of water produced in the plant for the next 30 years, whether they need it or not.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Actually the darker color is a detractor of algae and impurities. White promotes algae. It would seem the other way around, but it is not. My concern is the plastic balls breaking down and leaching into the water supply. The article does not say what the balls are specifically made of.
