How much work does it take to the bottom end to support that? Rods/piston/crank/girdle?

Not much work is needed. When theses engines could be found at every junkyard on the planet I would not spend any money on the short block and would just run a junkyard bottom end and I was always putting down 510-530 at the wheels and rarely blew anything up. Since then I have gotten a tall deck block and a fully counter weighted stroker crank and billet rods.
