That will make them go faster and stick to the ground less, which is exactly the opposite of what they want.

I looked at what they did around 2002 in jayski.com. They made the spoiler shorter and also made the restrictor plate holes smaller to cut the speed. I wonder what they'll think and come up with.

Cut an inch off the spoiler and create less drag. That might break up the packs. Someone will likely have a better idea, but I remember they did that about 10 years ago.

Nascar intentionally cut downforce to drive more pack racing and drafting. That is actually their goal.
