My '12 GT has been a good car, but Ford really dropped the ball with the MT82 trans. Mine spit out 6th gear again this past week, and I decide not to fix it again (if anyone wants a good deal on a '12 Premium GT that runs great but needs a trans, let me know, I'll let the car go as it sits, 2 sets of wheels and any other parts I can find in the garage, for $14,000) so I needed a ride.
Went to look at a clean '05 GT, and ended up buying this 2007 GT500. White, stripe delete car (1 of 24 according to the Shelby site), charcoal interior, 48k miles. Runs and drives like brand new. Car came from Cali according to the Car Fax. No mods other than lowering springs and a cat back. Pretty impressed overall with the feel of the car in general. Much tighter than the '12 and the trans shifts like a hot knife through butter.
No real plans for mods as of yet, but I'm sure there's at least a pulley swap in her future.
