      • Viewing angle is slightly above what we are used to. Going to try it a week before permant mounting. If we do perm mount going to basically build a little bkx that power outlets, wireless hdmi receiver etc are hid in amd trim it out nice. No stud in center wherr tv needs to hang so had to run 2x8 between two. Mount is so large went all way across 2x8.

          • You should try the new wireless mount. Literally the TV is held in place by wireless signals. SVO invented it.

You saying that made me thing, how is it going to cool itself with the vents in back blocked.

                • They could have just left an area in the back, with some invisible side venting installed on the side of the fireplace. Doubt they did that though. Not sure how much venting that TV needs

                  • I have a Samsung wall mount that basically hangs the tv like a picture on a wire, and it sits flush against the wall. I doubt they'd offer it if venting was a significant issue.

We are going to test it for a week and be sure we like it there. If we do then mount up the soundbar and trim out the board..of course there was no rafter in the center of the fireplace....

You should have just mounted that to the brick. It would look a hell of a lot better.

Actually already have most of the trim work done. It will look awesome once its painted. Doing big crown molding around the living room and tying it all in together. The mount is all the way back against the wall now too. Post pics of finished product in a few weeks when my wife paints it all!

                              • Yep. Much rather not drill into the rock. Much easier to fill the ceiling if there ever was a need.
