Yeah, Pretty sure when my shop gets built I'm putting the 70" in it, the others I don't know.

Only thing is, what the hell you gonna watch on it? Far as I know, they aren't selling 4k movies on disc at walmart. And you're lucky if you're really getting 1080p when you watch satellite. A high end gaming computer and the latest and greatest games is about all you can use, that will actually show real "4k" resolutions. I don't care about consoles they leave half the graphics options turned off.

Does it somehow make 1080p look a hell of a lot better? Never looked into that.

Here's my mitsu. May the lightly used bulb, never burn out. Amen.

Heres where it gets watched from, on the occasion that happens. Sorry, shit lighting = shit pic. I'm in the middle of redoing the fireplace, sorry I'm not made of money, don't hate.

Here's a fishtank stand I built, still working on the doors. Caught a perch out of the drainage ditch to put in there. That way if I get tired of him, back he goes.

Went with the old look, and did a glaze. Saw some kitchen cabinets at lowes like that, so I matched the paint and the glaze they had.

Caught the perch outa here. Usually the water's a lot lower, and a lot clearer.

The fuck is all this nonsense about?

You are the reason why weather reports talk more about heat index than actual heat/humidity/baro numbers.

Hmm. I guess you just don't have any understanding of the subject matter. I'm talking about using something to its full potential, and what it was made for. Do you just run donuts on your car? Cause hey why not! It works, doesn't it?

You think your satellite provider is broadcasting 4k?? You think your blueray discs suddenly, and as if by magic, mutated from 1920x1080 to 3840x2160? I guess they're redrays now!

Tank stand got you nervous? lol

I don't much like showing stuff until its done. Thats just my thing, call it a personality flaw if you want. I went ahead and showed the tank stand, cause it still generally looks pretty good, even without the doors. I'm definitely going to show finished pics. Same reason I never show my 87 chevy. Cause it ain't done yet. Weight rack still ain't stained. I have to work sometime money don't grow on trees. Why you want specs? I'll be happy to hand 'em over. Its a real easy build making use of two 3" I-beams to hold all the weights.

There is a lot of 4k content available. Amazon Prime and Netflix both have 4k movies and TV shows right now. Samsung has it's own multimedia box that can stream, and samsung TV's have the Comcast xfinity UHD app, which has lots of 4k content. Blurays will "magically mutate" to 4k by Christmas.

Well suck my penis. (he said in exclamation) Didn't know they'd caught up already!

I don't use any of that, so I wouldn't know. Netflix kinda irritated me, and I get all my movies from... that which we don't speak of.

My main concern is when satellite TV will be broadcasting most of its content in 4k. AFAIK that's a ways off. It definitely wouldn't surprise me if it took em 2 full years from now to get it all done. Granted I don't watch every channel, but I watch a lot of somewhat obscure shit/channels like "Destination America" and such. Gonna take some of them awhile.

Though it looks like it will be there a good deal sooner than I expected. Remember the rollout of 1080p and 720p? They're going faster now, which I guess makes sense.

I still have 720 tv's and never notice much difference. With that said I never watch blueray movies or have ever thought they are worth the difference in price. I guess I am just pretty simple.

Also I haven't bought a new tv in a few yrs. At the time there was limited 1080 broadcasting...probably majority now is that way. I remember reading as well that at certain distances their isn't much benefit of 1080 over 720.

I am looking to learn more though as I am about to buy another TV or two for the new house.
