No doubt. When we got our dog, hardest part was leaving the rest behind.

Discounted Vet services, some freebies and waived "exam" fee. Woot. She's apparently a 2 year old Petite Pit Bull. She's around 20% underweight (28 lbs currently vs. healthy weight of 35). Wound is healing well she said, to keep her from licking it but it's not able to be sutured at this point. She may have been a "bait" dog in the past, all her bites are on her back legs though for the most part.
Try making a paste out of Alum and put it around the wound area. Taste should dissuade her from licking the area more.

Good for you for picking her up. All of my pups have been pound or rescue found, and they've all been amazing. I've long said that i believe once they figure out you saved them, they feel its their duty to love you forever as repayment. Best of luck with her.

She's gaining confidence every few hours it seems...nosed our Weim out of her food bowl this morning after she finished her food. The Weim looked at the pup, looked back at me with this "WTF?!" look.

Be cautious with that, especially with two females (or two males) together. It may seem perfectly fine for a really long time, so you let your guard down, but it only takes one fight to really fuck up your day. Food is a common trigger. I'd feed mine in separate rooms and then pick the bowls up. Your dogs and your life, so do what you want, but I'm just speaking from experience. Good luck, and good for you for rescuing her!

I pulled her away quickly and we feed them separate bowls across the kitchen. Thanks for the advice and I monitored them for breakfast this morning and no issues at all. Small correction to the Weim when she "wanted to see" what was left over. She instantly circled back and went to go find her elk antler to chew on.

Ah yes, the infamous "I had a beard when I went on vacation tan line"...

First, tanning isn't possible with my people. Second, I've had my beard for several years. It looks like ginger ISIS.

It's more the fact that it's interfering with Jiu Jitsu. When people get collar grips it's usually with a handful of beard and well...fuck that.
