If you really take a look at shortbeds, they don't look right unless they're lowered. The bed is very close to the same length as the cab/nose. Almost exactly. And who the hell wants a lowered truck??

I can dig a lowered RCSB if it's done right, but as much as I hate agreeing with you, they don't look proportionate any other way.

I've been living in the land of 3/4ton+ trucks for the better part of two decades now, and they don't even come in RCSB... A reg cab long bed just looks right. They look good sky high or slammed to the ground.

I'm not hating on that C10. These square bodies are classics now. My first vehicle was a RCSB '82 Silverado.

I've got love for them, but I smell processed cheese and white trash when I hear people yammering on about long beds somehow being a sin

Are you someone who knows a lot about bags? I want the bag ride, but without the bag lowering. Possible?

certainly possible. my buddy's F450 is pure air-ride out back. it rides awesome

but, I don't know anything about specific systems, bags, kits, etc. I'm too cheap and lazy to get into all that

My dad's F150 has a 5.5ft bed. I mean, it works for him because he doesn't really ever have anything back there, but if he needs to put a bag of sod or a small piece of furniture back there, he can.

I've had a couple 6.5ft F250's, and they're great and all, but man, you put a toolbox in them, and the bed is all but gone.

Buddy of mine has a big fuel tank/tool box combo in his short bed F250, and when he puts his big cooler in the bed, that's about it.

reg cab long bed is a timeless classic IMO

Imho, the short beds should have been a fair bit longer. Like so many other older trucks. Something like halfway between a longbed, and the shortbed that GM made. Somebody has probably made one by now. I'll check over on the squarebody forums.

I hauled some 12 foot shit in my dad's short bed this week. Use your head and tie off at the right spots and you win!

No. I found a guy in Pomona actually that checked it out for me. It turned out to be a rust bucket.
