I won't either. But there are people who will... and they don't walk around with big red flags sticking out of their heads.

Shouldn't have mouthed off. Best action is to either blast it and get away or just stay behind the guy. As for not having enough insurance, how do we know? Maybe he had the state minimums. Maybe the biker doesn't have enough insurance. To me, the panhandling on the web is just as annoying as texting and driving.

If you are gonna run your mouth to a stranger, you should be ready to deal with any and all reactions. This beggar got out whatsburger'd.

people seem to think no there are no consequences for being an asshole. when an asshole meets a dick, the asshole gets reminded that dicks fuck assholes too.

also, when keeping it real goes wrong. someone might keep it more real.

Splitting lanes is one thing. Jamming yourself between cars is another.

He was fucking with the guy in the car from the moment he took off. Speeding up, slowing down, revving is hamster transport, etc. Why else do you think he kept looking around while staying in front of the car?

I'm not saying he deserved it, but he sure the hell welcomed the opportunity.

You're seriously condoning someone running over someone else because of words.

Bikes are quicker than cars, smaller and more nimble too. Just because you can juke through traffic doesn't mean it's happening without consequences. Add your mouthy mouth to that, and, well, you might end up needing a shower seat and some crutches.

I bet the BMW guy did to this biker what 1000 drivers before him only dreamed of doing to this fella. I bet he keeps his mouth shut in the future.

I think we are saying he went looking for a shitshow and wound up starring in it. Lane splitting may very well be legal where this happened. The guy was stopped at a light and on his phone when biker talked shit. Biker was in front and obv. In a rush since lane splitting, so why did he stay right in front of the bimmer instead of heading about on his business? I must assume that he wanted a confrontation. Well, he got it, now he is crying like a cunt and begging for sympathy and money. Nobody likes a part time hardass. I'm not saying the bimmer is right, nor that I would do the same, I'm just saying he wanted to be a no fuck giving toughguy, until he met a real one.

                  God bless.

sure you can. Hell my mouth has gotten me into more fights than I'd like to think about, especially in my teens. It was never the bigger guys that got the best of me.

I saw the same video you saw, I get the details and the justification you're trying to make, its still ridiculous to say its ok to run over someone that opens their mouth and says mean things.

In California, it was illegal to be on your phone, the drivers there are complete shit and the roads are equally as shit and need your focus, a lot of people die out there in vehicle accidents at low speeds. I've seen a lot of lane splitting this looked no different than normal, and they typically do get in front of the cars in whatever lane.

It sounds like you're not condoning getting run over, just the sympathy card which I can get on board with.

... and with a camera the perspective is always different/more dramatic. Regardless if it was jamming or splitting, that part is still legal in CA.
I've been tempted to do this on the bike as well, but know it wouldn't do any good. Bike guy perhaps just learnt a valuable lesson.

Eh, he said he had to rent a car, so I think it was his only mode of transportation, and not just a toy.

You have to when you're on a bike. There may be 1 guy out there deliberately trying to kill you, but there are thousands that are almost as dangerous just because they don't pay attention.

That wasn't typical scanning, he was looking over his shoulder for a reason.
