OK, here's the copy/paste of my story from the other site about one of my (many) adventures with Roy:

I said "you serious?", he said hell yeah I am! He knew not to ask something of me that he wasn't sure of, so.... We commence to "entering" in to the school.

We actually climbed onto the roof and climbed back down into the middle of the school where there was an open (no roof) court yard. We then find a window that was unlocked and climb in. We smoked a Cheeto, drank beer in his math class, had a blast.

Well, as we were walking back to the room where we came in, we heard noises like music, so we ninja'd up through the halls but saw a light on in a room between us and the room we came in.

I told Roy to wait here and I'll go investigate. I get to the room and see a janitors closet open with a radio on. I turn to Roy just in time to see an older black man turn the corner back behind Roy. He (Roy) hears the man and ducks behind a corner, I do the same. Old black dude walks past Roy, then by me and goes into the room next to his closet. I stealthily walk back to get Roy and we decide to sneak pass janitor dude and escape. We get to the room he was in and walk passed.

We go to the end of the hallway to see if we can get out of a door but it was chained shut, so we head back to the window room. Just as we get to the door the janitor walks out face to face with Roy.

    Janitor:
    Roy:

I grab Roy and we tumble across several desk` and literally fly out the window. Janitor must have thought.. wtf are these idiots going to do out there? (no exit doors). We climb back on top of the roof, run across to where we climbed on, narrowly missing Roy falling through a sky light. Climb down and hear the cop sirens coming. We didn't think we would make the car so we ran down to the football stadium and broke in to it and hid for hours. Sweating our asses off, Roy bleeding from the climb down off the roof.

After we finally got to leave, we went to the local hangout park and got higher and laughed our fukn asses off, thinking of what the janitor must have thought, seeing me leading Roy, a blind guy, through a class room and flying out of a window.

As funny as that is, it doesn't top the David & Roy adventures when Roy decided he wanted to go snow skiing and damned near killed himself by hitting a tree. Not funny I know, but Roy's balls-out life style could have been a movie without doubt.
Think "Dazed & Confused" with a blind guy added.

Yeah, some great times for sure. But we are both older and wiser now so...
Also, Roy's "near death" accident while snow skiing really scared him and changed how he took risks etc.. Now he lives for fishing and camping. He bought his neighbors boat and will get someone to go camping and fishing on the lake. He's in heaven when he can do that.

Yes, we still are very close. Mary & I will take them to dinner as much as we can, and to family functions too. Which is another heart breaking thing. We'll be driving somewhere and someone will say "hey, there's a [ insert random restaurant ]" and Roy or Sharon will say "yeah, I've heard they are really good but we've never been there". Again, if you think about how difficult it would be to be blind and just venture out, find a restaurant - and the front door - then have someone walk you to a table, by touch (they can't just say follow me and sit here). Then there's the whole menu issue, since most places don't have braille menus. You would be surprised at the looks I get when I ask if they have a braille menu. Some hostesses (road scholars) won't even know what braille is.

They truly are the epitome of what inspirational people are! And while I've had my "bumps in the road of life", I can always look at Roy and know that I don't have it quite so bad.

Mostly Benbrook, since it's only a few miles from his home. Since my brother has a home on Eagle Mtn with a launch, I've been trying to set up a trip on that lake. Roy said he'd love to fish E/M. Maybe when it warms up a little, we can make that happen.

                  Another funny story:
When I told my brother that Roy loved to fish and had purchased a boat to fish out of, my brother was . Sean said 'how in the hell does he know where he's at on the lake?". I said... "he stays close to shore and uses a long cane". For a brief moment, two of my brothers were

What part of the lake are you on?
Sean built a nice house on the far north end of the lake, past the Copeland compound and opposite side of the lake (he's on the west side).

                            Yokum Rd?

Sean is directly across the bay from there. Eagle Pt. Road. At night you can see his house but it's about 100 yrds up from the shore. He's the only one of his neighbors who has a ramp. He's also got several tall steel poles planted for his dock.

If that's the case, you could just walk across the bay (when the lake is down, summer time) and leave with us. Or I could just jet ski over there and get you. He's got a w/bike that will do 75 mph on the water. Scary little ride.

I'll shoot you a PM when we get this going.
