You do have a point. I've always gone back to a 4wd truck every time i got a fun car or something else. I know its what works for me. Just get bored easily.

I hear you on the engine. Ours will mainly be the grocery getter/family hauler/trip maker with the ability to carry lots and lots of stuff. I'll finally be able to haul firewood and do justice to my Home Depot trips! Wasn't a priority for the big block. We got the truck for a song and I didn't realize they made a non-4x4 Z71, I just considered that "bonus" when we were looking.

The 4.3 really isn't horrible these days if you don't tow or hotrod it.

I've got factory steps from my 15 that I took off. I took them off because a 2WD doesn't need them.

Agreed. So many of them come with steps now. I'm looking at nfab bars wheel to wheel for the third step at the bed. I'm ocd about my cars being clean and that will help reach the back window and center of the bed cover once it is on.

Ya. Not shabby on the power and I'm not looking to haul anything large, maybe a small flat bed for furniture, riding mower, etc. We took a 2 hour trip already. Computer said 19 mpg low, 27 mpg high and 22 mpg avg.

Ya, say it now that I had knee surgery.

Fuck it... wanna go a mile? I can't pull a 6, but I can probably hit a high 8. We can do it at ROHS

I've had that same surgery a few years ago when I was 21-22. Don't worry you'll bounce back but you'll never be 100% again. A high 8? Lol sure lets do it

Never understood those people. I buy stuff for the long haul, some people trade 2 or 3 cars every couple of years.

Got anything going on tomorrow? I've got physical therapy at 10am, then I'm open the rest of the day.
