  • Finally got a 4 eye.

Been itching to get back into a fox since I sold my coupe a few months back. Always wanted a 4 eye car but could never find one when I had the funds. Stumbled upon this 86 lx that belonged to a friend of a friend. After some negotiations I drove her home today. Not much to look at but its a good platform to start with. No option car, red with grey interior.

Engine is already pretty well hooked up. Typical fox parts.
    306
    E cam
    3 bar heads
    Cobra intake
    1.7's.

Nothing crazy planned so far. Just going to clean up the interior, get paint and body worked out, then add some suspension goodies. Mainly just a cruiser with occasional track days.

If anyone knows where any 85-86 GT seats are I'd really like a set. Car has 79 pace car seats in it now and they are shot.

sweet, it's a nice start, already converted to MAF. Torque boxes are probably about as sturdy as a cardboard box handled by UPS, but you can rebuild/reinforce that. Get a better rear end (8.8), unless that was upgraded as well.

Does it have a short somewhere?

They are surprisingly in really good shape but reinforcement is on the to do list. Car has a 8.8 already with unknown gears. No electrical issues yet, first thing I did when I got it home is cleaned and reloomed all the wiring.
