That's a bit dumbed-down but yeah. basically the rope unloaded onto his lower neck and he went into it and he got clothes-lined with his lower body planted on the ground. If that's the case (he really broke his neck) it's just tragic.

It establishes a consistent pattern. He pretty clearly got his throat crushed on a rope. He could also have had a hangman's fracture.
