Talk about apples to oranges comparison, how about next time testing with a 6.2 2wd truck

I want to test drive one of these. I'm really liking the looks on the 15s too.

He's very inconsistent with his driving too. I guess that's as "real world" as it gets.

I'll never understand these manufacturer sponsored "Truck Tests" videos involving competing brands. This is a Ford event. It wouldn't matter what other make/model/engine truck was being tested against it. The Ford would still find some way to edge out the competition during testing. This is just a Ford commercial that only really naive people think is indicative of real world testing.

With that being said, I do think the 2.7 Ecoboost is a great performer for such small displacement.

TFLtruck is an independent website that does truck testing. That has no affiliation with ford.

And there is plenty of real world testing that proves how great a performer the ecoboost is.

The event that Fast Lane Truck attended in this video was a Ford sponsored event. Fast Lane Truck didn't select or provide the vehicles for testing. Ford did. There is nothing "independent" in that scenario in regards to testing.

TFL Truck has done some other testing besides that Ford event that still looks like the 2.7 L is still a winner. They do some sort of hill climb hauling a trailer with a vehicle on it and it was pretty impressive. Certainly not scientific as they had to account for traffic, temperature, and other variables but still impressive.

I'm actually looking into buying one wants there is more availability. At least searching online, I haven't found a 2.7 FX4 Crew Cab yet. All have been either 3.5 or 5.0.

Haven't seen an FX2 but I have seen an FX4. I actually read a few months back that Stephen Jones got the first 2015 in North Texas.
