I've never owned a Dodge/Chrysler in my life, but I'd buy that blue bitch. The only truck I liked as much was my 02 Lightning. Of course the 430HP & 510TQ always left a shit eatin grin on my face.

These are only 390hp. The new 8 speed transmission is nice. Seats are way comfy and as stated before. The heated steering wheel is super nice!! But more than that. It just seems to fit in around here......

        That is damn good lookin..

I might go that far with debadging the truck but for now I just want that huge longhorn emblem off. I was watching a few videos on how to do it without a heat gun so I'm going to get it done this weekend.

I did not want to use a heat gun and take a chance on blistering the paint. I used fishing line and to (slowly) saw the emblem off and and then slowly peeled the tape off. If you pull the tape "down and out", it will come off in one piece. It took about 30 minutes per side. I also did the emblems on the tailgate.

That is exactly what was shown in the video I watched on the subject.

One question though, did you leave your truck out in the sun to warm it up? I was thinking that would be a good idea, but the weather isn't going to cooperate this weekend...

I removed badges from my z06 using a hair dryer and fishing line with no issues - was afraid the heat gun would be too much.

I did the same thing and it was in direct sunlight with 80ish degree weather.

I used a heat gun, turned down fairly low, win the gun about 5" from the paint. The used the fishing line, then peeled the tape down and out. The heat loosened the tape a little, and made the fishing line slice through easier. I'm happy to help if you'd like.

Think it was about 60 seconds.

Yes, I let it sit out for a few hours (each side). I would have used a hair dryer (low only) if the weather was not great.

Keep in mind the older the vehicle. The more likely you will be able to see where the emblem was due to fading.

I should have specified low setting when I used the hair dryer.
