There are 2 ways to do it, 1 is the way Chili posted, the other is supposed to be automatic, just copy and paste the youtube url, there is a plugin that is supposed to parse it but it acts up sometimes so I always do it the way Craig said.

Normally when the URL doesn't parse correctly, it is because the URL is secure "https" instead of normal "http". If you delete the "s", it will work properly.
