  • What is in this gasoline?

    Besides the piece of paper.

New fuel pump was installed, didn't last long, so I came to check it out and the gas in the fuel tank was nasty with stuff stuck down at the bottom. So we pumped it all out and noticed the red stuff, it doesn't mix with the gas at all and sinks to the bottom after a while. It reminds me of water in oil. My first thought was "blood?? Wtf!"

    Anyone have any ideas?

How old is the fuel. How often is the car driven?

Lol dude, my old roomate left that cracked ass mirror in his room and I went to look into the mirror and had a 4,5,6 head and busted out laughing.

Enjoy! It was my facebook profile pic for a good while!

Yeah, just it wasn't gritty like rust, it may have been but it seemed more like a liquid.

It's all cleaned up now, just waiting on a fuel pump to come in.

                      haha!

well back on topic, and prolly of no help whatsoever, that crap looks like transmission fluid.

                      god bless.

Would that not mix with gas similar to 2cycle oil?

Sugar in the gas tank in the past... It will "caramaliize" and look like that. Hate to think what the rest of the fuel system looks like.

                            Have an apple lying around?!
