I watched a big 5th wheel TT lose a hub and wheel assembly coming out of South Fork, CO.

I watched it take out shrubs and part of a fence and just keep on rolling/bouncing/etc. I mean, I shouldn't have been surprised because it's an 80mph fastball that weighs 100lbs, but it's shocking to see the damage it can do in person.

I didn't watch it until it stopped because I was hauling ass to flag down the dude that lost it. He had no idea it had happened

A girl I went to school with go hit not by a tire but a flat bed trailer loaded with a back hoe along NE 820 and Beach. This was back in the 80's but ever since then I have always been paranoid about getting hit head on by something.

I was beside the rear wheels on an tractor trailer about a month ago when it blew a tire I about sharted myself.

I was at Sportsdrome Speedway back in the day and a Sprint car lost its right rear. That thing bounced right into the stands where a drunk guy put his arms out to catch it. Yeahhhhh, he went out on the ole med unit.
        Whos your Daddy?

In the early 90s my dad had a new Ford dually, we were pulling a gooseneck outside of Memphis. The truck lost its hub with the rotor, wheel and tire all attached. Luckily he was able to get it shut down without crashing. Best we could tell, no one put the cotter pin in at the factory and the nut just backed off. The wheel hit a concrete wall, must have climbed it and shot hundreds of feet off the highway, it had to have gone very high in the air to get the distance it did. It was so far away that we had a hard time finding it.

I remember it was right around 1991 because while I was at the stealership waiting for them to fix the truck, I got the parts guy to quote those new pony wheels they were putting on the 5.0 mustangs and list was $600 each. lol

She picked a bad place to stop and smell the roses. Ban tires!
