      The rose itself has only two spot welds on the bottom, one that holds the pedals together and the stem. One spot weld on the each leaf, I drilled a 3/16" hole on the base and spot weld it through the bottom.

          Nice start! Try copper flat and dowels while brazing them together. Super compliant material and you can go nuts with the veining in the leaves.

              Go for it! I used a 1/8" welding rod for the stem and a 4" fence cap for the base. If I did it again, I would use 24 gauge...it's easier to work with.

                I have to admit, it was pretty fun making this flower. She was showing me some pictures of metal art that I would be interested in fabricating. I was thinking, Damn this girl a keeper lol
