My navigator and I wanted to move up in the open road races as far as average speed. We've been running the Supra the last few years in the 145mph class in the BBORR. The car would do more I'm sure but we were asking a lot of a BPU Supra. So rather than tear into it and deal with any possible reliability issues that might come up an upgrade was necessary.

Pick it up tomorrow. For some reason I'm not as excited as I probably should be. Maybe nervous. The last Viper I drove had a small issue of the driver's window popping out of place at anything over 150mph. We will be doing sustained 170mph so hopefully that's improved over the Gen II I drove. Never had one and just hope it's all it's cracked up to be. We will see. First things first: adjustable coil overs, headers, tune and intake. Then maybe a flat red wrap.

To run those kind of sustained speeds, don't you need all kinds of safety equipment like roll cage, fire suppression, etc.?

Car will require a harness bar, harnesses, fire extinguisher, arm restraints. All of it's already on order for this one. And of course all the occupant protective gear.

Same thing we've run in the Supra the last few years.

I actually had a C7Z on order and backed out when everybody had issues upon the release. Next on the list will be a C6 ZR1 if I don't like the viper. What all do you have done to yours?
