I worked in the PAC (S1) when I was in the Army and I couldn't tell you how many junior enlisted were buying new cars at $500 a month or more. I knew because the finance companies would finance them with poor credit as long as they set up an allotment to come out of their check, so the finance company got paid directly. The finance companies also knew that if the service member got past due, all they would need to do would be to call their 1st Sgt and they would get paid.

And it seemed like just about everyone that did a tour in Germany came back with a BMW or Mercedes. One NCO came back with a new Mercedes and got a night job delivering pizzas.. Lol.

If you have to ask, you don't have a clue.

It is irresponsible financially, and most of those young chicks are looking for easy money. They get to sit at home, spend his money, and suck his benefits. I know several that went from dating a week before swearing in to engaged before shipping out. Most of the time the girl had a kid and was looking for a new daddy for it.
