It sucks, but it's life man. I will be in a much better position once I pay this note off, though. I won't be upside down when I replace it. I haven't decided what I will replace it with, but that decision won't fully be made for a few months.

So, as a followup on my spindle comment in the original post, what spindles do I have and what spindles do I need that will remedy the dustcap issue?

Yeah, I've seen a lot of convertibles with these wheels. Part of me wanted to stay original, but these DO look a lot better, no doubt. I'm not too worried about the weight, as I'll just slap on the Prostars if I want to get very serious at the track. Well, actually, I have the front runners, but need to find a good deal on some 15x10's and some MT DR's.

That's what I need or have? Which ones do I have that don't work? The car was already converted when I bought it and believe it or not, I've never converted one!

LOL, well if you have a dust cap, it is very highly likely that you have lincoln rotors on factory fox spindles. The SN95 stuff doesnt have dust caps, and has a floating rotor/sealed bearings.

Ahh gotcha. I've heard of this problem before and I was almost EXPECTING it even though I didn't know for sure. I'll be swapping on the struts soon for some coilovers/strange adjustables, so I'll swap all the other crap at the same time. I definitely have a dust cap on there now and it pushed the centercaps right off the wheel! haha!

The best I have gotten yet is an 8.4 but I have a bad diff so it spins allot (60's in the 2'). Its also an aod and has everything still on it (a/c and all accesories) . I even still have a stock fan on it . Once I get the diff fixed I might put a little gas on it and up the gears (its 3.73's now) . It is nice to just drive to the track , run it , then drop the top and drive home .

sn hubs still have a dust seal, but its blac as opposed to the silver of the lincoln rotors, and of course the dimensions are way different. i think you know that but just typed it wrong

Mine are black but I'm pretty sure that my rotors are not floating. The dust cap clearly sticks out past where the centercap would go on the wheels. You may be able to barely see it in the pics above.
