Not sure why that is such a feat... My 2011 take out Coyote with the 302 intake, BBK LT's and a tune made 457/399 at the wheels....WITH a hydroboost pump bolted up.

That is easily 530/450 at the crank from just 302 cubes. This 318 cube exotic mill surely puts out more than that and considering Boss 302's are getting spun to 8200 2 years ago, I would hope this thing would spin even higher but good luck getting the synchros in a manual trans to last at those rpms.

Now if it weighed 3200# and had 550hp, you might peak my interest if I win the lottery. Otherwise, I will stick with all the old beaters I already have.

You think I don't know that? lol
      Oh no...it was all SVT.
He sued them in '84 over the GT350 and then sued everyone else over kit cars. Then his family sued each other over his dead body.

Ford engineers are being clear that this is not a GT500 replacement.

That doesnt suprise me considering that ford engineers also "weren't worried" about the Hellcat's 707 HP.

I still am hopefull the car will be priced in the low-50s. Any higher doesnt leave a lot of room for a GT500 to undercut the 75k Zo6. The only way the GT500 will even remotely compare to a Zo6 will be with an aluminum body and a monster mill.

I think that Ford will handle both well with the GT500.

lmfao. That engine would last about ten seconds past start up.

I REALLY like this car. And I'm starting to love the rear end of the 15+'s. Like the front on this one. Guess it's only a matter of time before the whole car finishes growing on me. Still not ditching my '13 any time soon.

Ford will ‘start’ the new Shelby GT350 at $52,995, according to Ford sources. Official pricing is yet to be announced, but we have also learned that you can expect to fork out another $2,995 for the ‘Tech’ package.
