    Pedantic?

They never installed one in a car. Call me pedantic, but to me, that means it was not a production engine.

Ford also built four-valve V8 engines for Indy to compete with the Offy/Millers during the '60s. They never installed one in a car. Do you consider that a production engine?

Toyota builds a Nascar-specific V8. They've never installed one in a car. Do you consider that a production engine?

    I could continue being pedantic...

Car and driver speculates about 550HP.

The lower rotating mass with such a setup should allow this V-8 to rev past 8000 rpm and deliver about 550 horsepower.

That was sold as a production vehicle? No.

I was not calling you specifically pedantic, but adressing that the case could be made depending on an individual's criteria for the word "production".

Do you guys have any idea how many people you're causing to check dictionary.com to define "pedantic"? Break the Internet indeed, lol.

If you rolled off the lot with one, it wasn't installed at the factory. It was a dealer-install item. They got disqualified pretty quickly when other OEM's complained.

I wonder if they'll have one at the LA Auto Show? I'm planning on going Thanksgiving Day.

I think semantic(s) would have been a better word for this situation than pedantic, but I saw where you were going. Pedantic tends to be derogatory, and people don't like that.

A new body mustang was in front of me today and it looked a foot wider than the last body style, and the overall styling was pretty amazing, for the limited time I watched it. With the right wheels, they are going to look top shelf.

                              Pedantic.

Hopefully not all of these end up in the hands of collectors as garage ornaments, I'd like to see (and hear) one in action.
