They work different than a normal hand brake so that they can go back down and not hit you when you get out. Press the brake pedal, lift the handle until it hits the ratcheting lock, press the button, push down and then release the button.

When you set it you just push the handle back down so its easier to get in and out.

Yeah, I can't stand the C4 or C5 interiors. I like both of the exterior designs, though.

The only issue that I have is the door sill being so high and the digital speedo with analog everything else. The seats are damned comfortable and the controls are in a good spot.
