Grapevine Ford themselves had base model(300a I think is the option group) 5.0 '12s advertised online for 24xxx at the end of December 2011. I remember it that exactly because I came close to buying one. Ended up picking up my '13 401a in Dec of '12.

The ones that bought a premium GT with leather seats, Shaker audio, voice-activated NAV, and performance package - like this car - got a car that stickered around $40k. That doesn't even get into the security and tech packages which were CRAZY expensive. It was very easy to get a 'loaded' GT coupe into the $42-45k territory. The new car base MSRP is around $1000-1500 more than the outgoing 2014s, depending on model. When the government pays, the government controls.
