i've no issue with the op, so i'm not quite sure what your point is there. The only issue i had was with that particular poster who i initially quoted.

The trap itself isn't the problem per se, it depends on the user. That's why i brought the leghold trap analogy. This is no different. I can concede that the glue trap needn't be unnecessarily cruel if the user isn't an asshole.

Guess what? Animals die inhumanly in nature, with no fault of man. A deer brakes it's leg, and gets a blood clot, it dies. It might even suffer for a while.
