He was on the list from being on an anti government blog.

Doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. He is already there, what is there to check out? He was more calm than I think I would have been in that situation, even though you could tell he was getting pissed. I shudder to think what he is going to go through the next time he has to fly. Full cavity search imminent.

I mean can't he board another plane without going through security at this point? I guess I see the problem if they are afraid of that, but nothing was brought up. Why not just escort him out?

TSA are our friends. Just doing their job and following orders.

The TSA is a complete joke. After seeing, first-hand, the requirements to be one...they are the ones that should be receiving enhanced screening.

I went through about 90 percent of the process. I actually thought they were out of their mind on what they wanted a new hire to do, not to mention terrible pay and hours. My buddy said do not walk, run away from that place. I hit the big deny button at the last step.

So what did they want new hires to do? What was the pay?

Oh no we can't be doing that! Might lose our job and wind up on CNN. Lets just F with the white guy.
I'll always say the tsa couldn't prevent a terrorist attack if their lives depended on it.

Part time split shifts maybe two hours a shift with up to two hour gaps in between. Apply wait three months, test, oral board, another test, back ground (worse then police}, airport assessment, and then a couple of more steps before being put on a ready list. I think it was 28k or 32k a year but that was the full time rate. I imagine there would have not really been any part time but that was the positions they opened . It was a lot of shit for a terrible paying job that had shitty hours. Each step was a different trip to a different place.

                              ^All of that.

Basically, you just have to be willing to put up with an enormous amount of shit just to get permission to feel up old ladies and kids, steal from baggage, make asinine decisions, and lets really suspicious people walk right through.

The real problem is the lack of screening on the front end, which highlights that airport security isn't at all secure. Hopefully someone lost their job over it.

Not a reason that can be given to anyone on those lists, no accuser to face, no day in court, fuck that comrade secret police stasi shit.

That screening is all bullshit to condition us. Who is going to stop me from taking my steak knife from Chilis at DFW onto my flight? Already past the checkpoint, too late now. Is that trashcan our confiscated oversized liquid explosives goes into bombproof? rolleyes

I stopped subscribing to cable about a year ago as I didn't think I really watched much tv, but I watched a lot more than I realized. Helps me get away from the house and do shit. I don't even have my tv's set-up for free tv. I took my 32" and made it my computer monitor. My living room tv is just for watching movies.

Anywyas, I was at a friends place the other day and the news was on (FNC if it matters) and it came across so fake and weird. It was so foreign to me, made me feel as if I had been almost brainwashed before, so clearly propagandized. What had previously been the norm was now just laughably bad.

Terrorism & illegal aliens seem to be boogeymen created and fomented in order for state and federal agencies to get bigger budgets and seize more power. Voiceless and foreign people to scapegoat all of societies problems. Didn't the Nazis do this with the Jews? How much longer can this nation support the deficits created by both parties? A pretty kick-ass country is being suffocated by a government run amok. As a people we do nothing to stop it, chicken little has scared us all, we have the government we deserve.
