We had a major network outage in Memphis a few weeks ago. Turns out someone was using an above ground fiber optic cable for target practice and got at least one shot on target. The police had to escort Time Warner to repair the damage. Time Warner was told to have the repair done before dark because the police did not want to be there after the sun went down. I get to spend a week there next month. Can't wait!

I personally like Memphis. I roll through the southside and it is fun to see the decay. I commonly see them smoking blunts while at stop lights and drinking 40's. Last time I actually say a guy at a stop light rolling a blunt, then he made a left turn into a church's chicken. Not stereotypical at all.

I now live just west of Nashville TN. I hope in the next five years to move to the Memphis area. It is full of culture and will be one of the first southern areas to decay. It is far worse than described and there are large swaths that a lot of businesses will not make a delivery in. This video is a common unrecorded occurrence with smaller numbers of thugs. It is a necessity to always carry. I've stopped at a gas station to pee and grab a 22 in Memphis and been told it wasn't a good idea to stop there by the station clerk. Not many places you'll go like that.

I met a friend of mine at a gas station in Garland a while back. There were a few cars parking on the other side of the lot. After 10 minutes or so of me waiting there for my friend, one of the thugs walked over and told me it probably wasn't a good idea for me to be there. This wasn't necessarily a "bad" part of Garland either.
