p = Air density = 1.2754 kg/m3
v = Speed (assumed 150mph) = 67 m/s
C = Drag coefficient (for skydiver in pointed position) = 0.7
A = Frontal area fora skydiver with gear = 0.71 m^2
= 1423 Newtons = ~320 lbf
Imagine pulling 320 pounds with a rope when the weight on the end of the rope is flailing around violently, the rope is above your head and nearly out of reach, and you are not tied off to anything.
Not saying it's impossible, but I would guess SOP for that is not for someone to step up and try to be The Hulk"If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

At least it was a ramp and not a door. If it was a door he would have been slapping the plane every revolution. You always try to get them back in but it is a slow process (see the math). If you cut them lose they have the rest of their life to open their reserve!

Cutting them loose is not necessarily a great option either, BTW..
You'll notice he keeps placing his hands on his head.. That is the signal to say he is conscious, and to proceed with cutting him loose. Unfortunately, either his reserve was fubar as well, or he was just too low to successfully deploy it.
