I looked pretty seriously at FJ's a couple months back and found plenty of good deals. And right now, I really want to stick with an SUV (for the dogs).

Again, my issue with the Tacoma's space is that if Leah, myself, the two kids, and two dogs want to go somewhere together, we would have to take two cars. Unless I want to put the dogs in the bed, which I would not do. This is a temporary issue as once Leah's son has moved out, I'm sure the two dogs and her daughter could all fit in the second row, at least for shorter distances.

I haven't looked recently, but a few months ago I looked at getting into one and they were significantly more expensive than I thought they would be. It seemed that to get into one with reasonable miles I was looking at the mid to high 20's.

        How about a camper shell?

I still wouldn't want the dogs back there, but I should have clarified, mainly due to the weather. I prefer to keep them climate controlled as they are both indoor bitches.

I have no issues with dogs in a truck bed with a camper, assuming the weather is good, but how often is that the case here. lol

Fair enough. Could always put a window unit in.

Most of the higher priced ones I saw were at Toyota dealerships, especially certified. Those were almost as much as new! lol

I was looking in the $15k - $20k range, and while some of those were 100k plus miles, there were a handful around the 70k mile area.

I've always liked the look of them and like that you can get the factory lockers, built in inverters, and some of the other little details. I like the short wheelbase too.

At this point it just doesn't make much sense for me to ditch the Suburban for one.

rented a base focus hatch. i enjoyed it.
                i would dig a 6spd ST.
i would sell my evo and get one if they had a ~300hp awd model. 3 door model (2dr+hatch) would be the tits.

only gripe about the car is that center console/radio. it's fugly. overly cluttered, busy and odd diagonal lines.

Cool car, but hell no to anything with that sync mytouch crap. I had a rental focus this weekend, that thing was pure crap and irritating to use.

What year was it? Because Ford has recently ditched Microsoft for the underlying architecture for their Nav/Infotainment units.

You can rent one with a stick at Budget in Kansas. You can also get a Hemi Challenger with a stick too.

See I was looking at ones with less than 40k and they were much more than that. I couldn't justify replacing my truck with one.

2010 or something. Gawd the car sucked, it only had 30k miles on it and the tranny was giving fits. Bucked and rocked with partial throttle accelerating from a stop. I dunno maybe someone took it to the track. lol.

Anyone owned a focus ST? I have read terrible personal reviews and MPGs no where near advertised similar to the F150 bullshit ecoboosts.

I have a '14 and avg about 24-25mpg mixed. Just hit 10k on the mileage and I like the car.
