It's usually a "Did ya learn your lesson?" moment, unless like you said it happens a lot, or it takes you out of action for some time. Troubleshooters (which is what he was) are generally fairly senior (senior E-4s to junior E-6s) though, and well-qualified.

That's fucked up, both answers are correct with the way the problem is presented.

For the answer they required (6) it should be 2+(2x2)
For an answer of 8 it would be (2+2)x2
