went to the grudge deal at kdale tonight, drove in, pulled around clicked off a 7.02 @97.5, let it cool off for a bit, ran a 7.01@97.2, let it cool then got kicked out cause midnight rolled around. i know the car has a 6.9x in it no problem, it was a little rich up top and i made some tweaks to the tune right before what would have been the third pass...
oh well, i'll let the temps drop a little more and it'll be in the 6's no prob.
now i gotta find some money to build a turbo kit!
another good night with o.j. driving us to and from the track, really loving this car.

appreciate the kind words, last night was a total cluster, i dont know what was going on but it took me like an hour to make my 2nd pass and i was in line for my third pass for 1.5hr when they shut the track down.
it was kind of funny when they shut the track down they made all the cars in the staging lane exit through that exit in the fence and they were directing traffic so all the cars could get back to their trailers, i was the only car that was like, "umm, can i just go ahead and exit?", so they let me just pull around and roll out. when i went to the gas station and at all the lights people were freaking out that i was driving on the street. guess she looks a little more intimidating then she is at this point, even though it was like 65* when we left i still rolled with the a/c on (i'm always hot). always a little nerve racking driving home with 12psi in the et streets though, she gets a little, umm, wavy at times.
for the turbo the way i see it is i'll need to buy the hot/cold side piping (obviously), i should be able to sell my dynatech lsx 1 7/8th swap long tubes and 3.5" h-pipe for some decent coin, going to need some lsx flanges, some 4-1 collectors, innercooler, wastegate, turbo, injectors (fic claims to be able to turn my ls7 injectors into 95lbers (103lb@58psi and good up to 120psi) for 200 bucks), blow-off valve, 2 or 3 bar map (have enough credits on hptuners to go to a custom os), and all the other little odd's and end's b.s. and get mike to restall my converter.
sounds like a lot typed out! thankfully my girls dad owns a special effects company and has every fabrication tool you can think of so i'll just drive the car out there and build the kit once i have all the parts put together.
wonder how much the stock lq9 will hold? would probably go back to stock cam (probably leave the .660 springs in though for safety). at least on boost i wont have to spin it as high (currently shifting at around 6600rpm), might help it last a little longer.

and about the numbers, you know the game, it's always "if i could just run a x.xx then i'd be happy", yet as soon as you hit that number it becomes, "well, actually i should run a x.xx". right now i want a 6.9x, i know the car has it, i just gotta get my shit together, i short shifted on my second run (log shows i shifted at 6.3k vs. my normal 6.6k) so i didn't really get much benefit out of the colder temps vs. the first run, i think that explains why the car had a better 60' and faster e.t. on the second run yet trapped a little slower mph.
it also didn't help that both of my runs were against backhalf cars that both had problems around half track, which kind of messed with my concentration a little. ah, well, excuses are like assholes! all in all it wasn't a terrible night, just a LOT of waiting and only a little racing
