Looking real nice and gotta love AC in a streetcar!
Ya, it has been a PITA to get the a/c in (really wish I would have done this from the start). Acquiring all the parts, getting the heater box installed (and modified with the f-body evap), getting the vacuum lines and wiring to the heaterbox/blower/controls, getting the PCM to accept a +12 command vs. the serial command that '05 wants, running the wiring for the clutch relay, pressure switch, etc., getting the custom lines made, etc. It has been a pretty big job, especially since I only get to work on it during the weekends for the most part and I did it start to finish between the 4th and had it blowing cold on the 15th (sans the low pressure port issue). Should have it 100% complete this Thurs/Fri.

I bought HPTuners so I've been playing with that like crazy. I had no idea how off my tune was, was showing AFR errors in the 15% range! Super super rich down low. In 3 or 4 10 minute drives I've gotten that down to 1-2% error. Not sure if I am going to leave it speed density or get the VE tables setup and then tune the MAF. I am hoping to get back to Kdale this weekend and spend some time tweaking the upper end of the VE/Timing tables. Hard to get good WOT logs on the street.

Sounds good. At the last cruise I ran a black coupe with a termi swap but something happened to his car I think, it went up in smoke towards the end of the race (glad I was ahead!)

Do you have sigs turned off? I don't know what his suspension setup is, but that car is fucking NASTY. One of my all time favorite foxes and I have only seen pictures.

                      • If you wanted the Greg Banish DVD I would have given it to you. I paid $250 for it and was upset at the injector data or lack there of. At the time I purchased the DVD I knew everything he was teaching. Was a waste of money to me.

Btw I replied to you on the HpTuners board in the thread about your idle.

Thanks, I ended up grabbing it for $25 from a buddy who didn't need it any more. I have to agree that had I paid $250 for it I'd be feeling pretty burned on the deal, it is informative, but if you read through some of the better post on HPTuners forum you can pick up the same info. I didn't realize how off my tune was until I got to log afr error, it was wild, lean up top, rich as hell down low. The only part of the deal I am having trouble with is how to get the best spark advance curve, I am just taking timing out in the areas that I am loggin KR, seems less than ideal however since you can only tell where you have too much timing, no real way to determine the areas that don't have enough timing.

AFR error will either ruin your day or brighten it up the first time you run it.
You cant rely on the stock knock sensors unless they are both new as well as the harness that plugs into them. They are notorious for going bad and picking up false knock. It will drive you crazy trying to diagnose it. Ill send you a timing table that will be spot on. I have five SD files from that same exact combo. Be carefull what information you get from the HpTuners board. The guys who really know the software talk the least. The guys who want everyone to think they know it all talk the most.
